Mixed Media Abstract Realism

In my abstract realism paintings, I explore nature’s beauty through layers of media, blending silver leaf, ink, and collage with real, pressed flowers. My work captures organic shapes and textures, merging elements of the natural world with abstract expression. By layering and combining materials, I create a depth that invites viewers to see nature through an interpretive lens, balancing detailed realism with abstraction. Each piece is a reflection of my connection to the landscape, shaped by both visual texture and personal experience. 

Each piece comes on a contemporary float frame canvas, adding a modern presentation that enhances the artwork’s multidimensional quality. 

 In my contemporary abstract paintings, I explore a world of rich colours set against shimmering, translucent bases that evoke ethereal mists and deep, murky textures. The layers in each piece create unique interactions, forming rivers and tributaries, cracks, ruptures, and intricate textures that invite closer inspection. These canvases and framed works come alive with subtle variations, offering a modern interplay of colour and form that draws the viewer into each painting's distinctive landscape. 

 I am a self-taught artist driven by a passion for experimentation and creating distinctive, inspiring artwork. My wood sculptures are crafted from individually hand-painted wood blocks, each connected by delicate metal pins and mounted on reclaimed wood, designed for wall display. Since each block is uniquely painted, every sculpture is truly one of a kind.
