Sustainability is at the heart of my practice as an artist. I work with reclaimed wood off-cuts and driftwood, giving new life to materials that already carry a story. Much of my wood comes from a local woodturner who rescues timber that has been cut down, while my driftwood is currently sourced from the south-west coast of Scotland through a supplier who shares my environmental values, carefully collecting washed-up wood while removing plastic and other litter from the beaches. Moving away from traditional canvases and frames, I now focus on sustainable art, allowing the natural grain, texture and history of the wood to shape each piece I create.

Each piece reflects my own transition in life by exuding colour, vibrancy and luminosity.
